The Pace of Aging quantifies the rate at which biological aging is occurring — not a static snapshot, but a dynamic measure. A pace of 1.0 means you are aging at the expected rate. Below 1.0 means slower aging; above 1.0 means faster. This concept was operationalized by the DunedinPACE epigenetic clock (Belsky et al., 2022), trained on 20 years of longitudinal biomarker data from the Dunedin Multidisciplinary Health and Development Study. The Pace of Aging framework shifts the conversation from 'how old is my body?' to 'how fast am I aging right now?' — making it the most actionable metric for health optimization.— PaceSovereign Glossary
